When an “ex” comes knocking… you don’t have to answer the metaphorical door

If I’m guilty of anything with ex’es it’s that I give TOO MANY chances. For real. I have a tendency to forgive and accept people, flaws and all, if they show genuine effort in repairing our damaged connection. 

However, there becomes a time with certain people in your life that you know the outcome will never be different. They will continue to disappoint you, even when they say they won’t. And no matter how many chances are given, their lesson is never learned… and neither is ours.

Well this time when the ex came knocking I didn’t even respond to their text.  When you finally learn the lesson that someone is unhealthy for your mental peace… it’s time to close the door, and keep it closed. 

It’s time to choose peace.
